The plot centers on a romance in a fantastical setting, so if you’re going into this book expecting more of a focus on the fantasy elements, I think you’ll be disappointed.
It took me a while to actually get through this book though, but I’m glad I finally did because The Night Circus is a great book, but not one I would normally read or recommend to anyone with my reading tastes.įirst off, let me say that while this book is categorized mainly as Fantasy, it is much more of a Romance. The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern is not the typical sort of book I would pick up for myself, but it came with a great recommendation from Ellie so I figured I would give it a shot. “The finest of pleasures are always the unexpected ones.” This review is spoiler free It is called Le Cirque des Rêves, and it is only open at night. Within the black-and-white striped canvas tents is an utterly unique experience full of breathtaking amazements. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not.
